Celebrate with us
Application ProcessProfessor Roger Hart said that play is fundamental, not optional for children’s mental, physical and social development (International Play Association, 2013). Children develop their social, emotional, intellectual and physical abilities through play (Torkildsen, 1999). Play add value to the cognitive development (Bull et al., 2003), their ability to learn through experiences, thoughts and senses. All this development achieved through play give children better chances in life because it increase their resourcefulness.
The lack of play is accentuated in poverty areas and when children are facing barriers of poverty, disability, gender and race.
Ëlabba Play® wants to contribute in removing those barriers, even if it is a small contribution at the moment. We want to support those children in need of a special celebration, a recognition or in need to live a dream, even for some hours, and make them feel that each one of them counts and matters, but forever.
Applications are open on 1st January – 30th September every single year. The chosen candidate will celebrate its birthdays on the following year between 1st January to 31st December.
